Start here: a calmer, more personal mortgage experience

You do not have to figure this out alone

A mortgage is a meaningful decision, not just a stack of forms. Whether this is your first home, a renewal, a move or a refinance, we want you to understand what happens next, why we ask for information and where you can get a hand.

Your application portal is where you complete your application and upload the documents we request. It is separate from Matt’s Mortgage Money rewards portal. A rewards login or partner deal-tracking link does not replace your mortgage application invitation.

Your first five steps

  1. Open the application invitation from Matt’s team and use the email address it was sent to.
  2. Create your account when prompted, or sign in to your existing application account.
  3. Complete and save the application sections. Accurate information is more useful than a perfect first attempt.
  4. Review your information and the consent agreement before submitting.
  5. Open your document list and upload the items you already have. You do not need to wait until everything is ready.

Tell us what a good experience looks like for you

Let us know your target dates, how you prefer to be contacted, when you are easiest to reach, and whether you would like help working through the application. If forms are difficult, you use assistive technology, English is not your preferred language, or your circumstances are sensitive, tell us privately. We can discuss an approach that works for you; translation and accommodation arrangements need to be confirmed, not assumed.

A useful note is: “My financing deadline is [date]. I prefer [email/phone]. I have [documents] ready, and I need help with [item].”

A personalized list, not homework for everyone

Not every document applies to every borrower. A salaried employee buying a condo may need a very different package from a self-employed homeowner refinancing. Start with the items requested in your own portal. Your lender, mortgage insurer and legal professional may require additional or updated information.

The document examples here describe common practices. A request for two years of income records or roughly three months of bank history is not a universal legal rule. Your actual request determines which years, dates and pages we need.

Need a hand?

Email Matt at matt.parker@indimortgage.ca with a short description of where you are stuck. Do not attach bank passwords, security codes or identity documents to a general help message. Use your application portal for requested sensitive files.
