Completing your application without second-guessing every answer
Start with what you know
After signing in, choose Go to Application. The questions adapt to your answers. Work through the sections shown to you, including borrower information, income and assets. Save each section before leaving it so you can return later.
Do not invent an answer to get past a question. If a required field is unclear, ask us. Where an estimate is appropriate, tell us it is an estimate and provide the exact figure when it becomes available.
Borrower and household information
Use your legal name as shown on your identification. Tell us about a previous or alternate surname if it appears on income, title or banking records. Include accurate contact information, address history and who will be applying with you. A person contributing a gift is not automatically a co-borrower.
Employment and income
Enter your employer, role, start date and income details. Distinguish annual salary, hourly rate, guaranteed hours and variable earnings. Do not add overtime, commissions or bonuses twice. If you have more than one job, a corporation, self-employment income, rental income or parental leave, let us know so we can help classify it correctly.
Your gross income is before tax and payroll deductions. A deposit into your bank account is usually your net pay; it is not necessarily the income figure the application is asking for.
Assets and down payment
List assets accurately and explain which funds will be used for your purchase. An investment balance is not necessarily cash available for closing: investments may need to be sold, registered-plan rules may apply, and transfers can take time.
If your down payment includes a family gift, a sale, funds overseas or borrowed money, tell us early. Those sources need different evidence and may affect lender options.
Debts and financial commitments
Tell us about credit cards, lines of credit, loans, support payments, guarantees and any debts that may not appear on a credit report. If your version of the portal does not provide a place for a particular liability, tell us separately rather than leaving it undisclosed. We may reconcile debts with your credit report and statements.
Property and goals
Explain whether you are buying, renewing or refinancing, the intended use of the property and your key dates. If the portal does not show a place for a property detail, send us the information through the agreed channel. Do not assume a section is missing by mistake.
Review before submitting
Open Review and submit. Check names, dates, income, assets and contact information. Read the Credit Consent Agreement and ask questions before checking its box. Select Finish and submit application when you are ready. Our team is notified of your submission.
Submitting your application is a request for review, not mortgage approval, a rate guarantee or permission to remove financing conditions. We will explain the next steps for your file.
